Our time with Jean-Yves was wonderful. He picked us up at our cruise ship and took us on a custom tour of the Black Forest. He was very accommodating to my wife as her knee suddenly had some problems. He is very knowledgeable and provided many local stories. We highly recommend him. Richard (Alabama).

Our guide, Jean-Yves, proved to be an excellent combination of local historian and group leader. We got just the right amount of overview and context for each site visited, and just enough time to get the stop done without overstaying our welcome. Highly recommended!

Tracy & John (NYC).

Great day in Alsace. Our guide was the perfect combination of knowledge and customer service. He left us on our own after giving us great information which I greatly prefer. I like my own pace and returning at a designated time. We had a great day in Alsace.

Lisa, Kayla and Isaac  (Colorado).

We thoroughly loved our tour ! Our driver, John, was deeply passionate about Alsace, its history, wine and beauty. He drove us through some additional small towns, so we could see the charm of the whole region whilst explaining the geographical significance of Alsace and the wine making process. The towns are magical, like something from a fairytale. A truly unique place to visit and an excellent experience.

The Kiwi team.

Jean Yves is the absolute best tour guide ever. Best adjective to best describe Jean Yves is congenial! Plus he gave us a fantastic tour of the villages in Alsace. Full of knowledge. Merci Jean Yves !

Yvette and Stacy (New Orleans).

Our tour guide was excellent and I'm sorry that I don't know his name. I had a special interest in seeing a village that was not included and he added it. In addition to the charming villages, we learned some WWII history, visiting the site of a French military cemetery and American memorial for those who fought the battle of the "Colmar Pocket", one of the last battles in France. It's hard to imagine such horror when the area is so bucolic today. We are so glad we took this tour and recommend it highly.

Duke & Co (Australia).

Great way to visit the alsace countryside and visit some villages. Jean-yves was very knowledgeable, friendly and added villages and a stop along the way. Small group with just 4 of us, so plenty of opportunity to ask questions and get local knowledge.

Akiko (Japan).

‘’Jimmy and I thoroughly enjoyed learning from you and seeing some of the many beautiful and historical sights in Alsace and in Freiburg. I was extremely pleased with the success we had, locating places where my father fought and the location that he was wounded in WWII. It was a proud and emotional visit for me, the hill dad was on when he was wounded at Lixing les Rouhling. Thanks again for all of your help.  You are a true professional and a good man. I hope one day to meet you again’’.

David (Palo Alto, USA).

‘’My friend and I had an absolutely wonderful day with Jean-Yves! From the moment he picked us up at the Colmar train station to when he dropped us off that evening, he was so thoughtful and accommodating. I had asked if we could do some wine tastings so we visited two independent family winemakers, where we tasted some excellent wines and got to talk with the winemakers or proprietors, and we saw several beautiful Alsatian villages where Jean-Yves left us plenty of time to explore on our own. We also had lunch at a restaurant Jean-Yves recommended and got to try some delicious local dishes like choucroute and tarte flambée. Jean-Yves is super knowledgable about the wines and the history of the region and taught us all sorts of things throughout the day. He was so kind and funny and really made sure that we got everything we wanted out of the experience. We would highly recommend his tour (or any version of it, since he was so great with accommodating our requests) to anyone coming to Colmar or the wine road region of Alsace, and we hope to be back ourselves!’’

Emily (Zürich).

Our time today with Jean-Yves was outstanding!!! His willingness to taylor the experience to our preference was very much appreciated. his knowledge of the local history and it's connection to other historical events was very impressive. I would whole heartedly recommend him!!

Thank you Jean-Yves, it was our true pleasure to meet you. We could not have imagined a better day of touring.

John and Family (Alaska).
